We were delighted to be asked to run regular Forest School sessions at Pitter Patter Day Nursery in Wallasey. Pitter Patter Day Nursery is a consistently good day nursery with aspects of their provision deemed outstanding by Ofsted.
The day nursery already made good use of their outside space, providing opportunities for their children to learn through play outside, scaling a climbing wall, mini beast hunting and gardening all part of their provision.
GROW-Wellbeing C.I.C. have brought their knowledge and experience of nature connection through forest school, horticulture and early years education to help Pitter Patter develop their outdoor environment, advising on structural changes including the installation of a living willow dome, (which has instantly become a new outdoor classroom!) in order to enhance the childrens' opportunities to engage with the natural world, whilst supporting all aspects of the EYFS through speech and language, mathematical, science, personal, social and emotional and physical development.
If you would like to discuss how GROW can help your nursery provision to develop their outdoor learning/ forest school provision, please contact : Duane Chong, Programme Director, on 07841 753309 or email
